My first time trying CAVA and it was really tasty. The veggies were very fresh and I appreciated the variety of sauces to choose from. I got the Harissa Avocado and would 100% get it again.

I have preferred from here a couple of times.
Today I ordered again and the dish was very poor.
Asked for black lentils and I got white rice instead. There was no avocado in there.
And the portion is very small compared to previous orders.
I don't know if I want to order again.

Overall, I enjoy Cava. Hopefully, this order and the subsequent review are what I hope to be a rare exception. To be fair, my only complaint about this order is the small portion and poor quality of the avocado I received in my "Harissa Avocado" bowl.
Not only is the ingredient part of the dish's name, but the portion of avocado also appears to cost $3.51. I believe there is an old joke out there somewhere that "the food was horrible... and such small portions too". Well... for my money, I received the equivalent of 1/4 (or less) of a rotten avocado. I removed every piece of what I could identify as avocado from my bowl and have included a photo of it, in its entirety, below.
To the folks at Cava, I respectfully say: DO BETTER!!! (Please)

Does this location understand how to properly cook lentils? This is the second time now that the lentils are completely undercooked and crunchy.

For the price you would expect the bowl to be packed. I also asked for garlic sauce and they barely gave me any. Taste was great. Will be back
