• 6/17/26I first tried PROTEINHOUSE in Modesto and was blown away. But this location was not nearly as good. I paid extra for avocado on my salmon bowl and the amount they added was minuscule. So tiny. How can they charge for that?
I also paid extra for additional Thai peanut sauce, and there was just a drizzle on top. No extra side, none on the vegetables. Also the sauce was bad- it tasted like peanut honey sauce- far too sweet. It was nothing like I remembered from the other location.
And the salmon in the Build It bowl was burnt. I usually love a nice char, but the taste was truly bitter and overpowering, and ruined the whole bowl. The Cucumber Salad, was a little sad, minimal flavor and didn't seem fresh.
I still rated them "liked it" because the (Kids) Chocolate Monster Shake was really good and less sweet than expected. And because I believe in the concept of this place and want higher quality and healthier restaurant options. I hope this location can get it together because if I had another disappointing meal like this I would not return.

• 12/27/25Honestly i was nervous to try a new place bur i'm rlly impressed. it got here hot, and the salmon size was HUGE, it was displayed nice too. i wanted a little healthy meal bc i haven't been feeling good, this might be my new fav. AND YOU GET 4 free scoops of veggies, and sauces are free too. i did build ur own, the only expense when building it is the protein. 16$ for something fresh and good

• 5/3/26I ordered the southwest bowl with medium rare steak. This looks well done. Flavor is bland but tastes fresh as they promote. It is a pretty large portion for $20+. I don't know if I'd order again...

• 10/18/25I've gone to the Modesto location several times so I was super excited Turlock was getting a protein house. The 1st time I ordered it was good. Zero complaints, however, the 2nd time it was awful. The keto donuts ALWAYS come in a 2 pack. I only got 1. For $7.50. No. The fries weren't cooked all the way. Raw potato. The reason for 3 stars are its hit and miss. I'm going to give the Turlock location 1 more chance. We'll see how it goes.

• 4/2/26This is the best restaurant in the entire area! Healthy, real food that tastes great. I had the chicken Cesar salad (specialized to my liking) and my husband had the Keto bowl. Both were excellent. This is my new go to restaurant.
