My second time ordering from Xpress Tacos. Yesterday was my first. Wow, whoa. This food is made with love and care. So flavorful, yes, but I notice some things. It is perfect in its imperfections. Everything speaks of being Handmade, nothing processed, and it spoke to my taste buds.
The Pupusas are flavorful, cheesy, and heavy, but it is cut with the freshness and lightness of the pickled cabbage. I have only had pickled veggies from a can, so I could taste the difference immediately. This is fresh, freshly made.
The carnitas tacos are packed with flavor, and I can tell that the tortillas were made there. The rice is fresh, and the refried beans are even handmade.
Burritos were good yesterday, better today. Yesterday, the balance seemed off, like too many of the ingredients were clashing. Today, the balance tasted just right. Like just the right amount of everything that comes inside the burrito.
I am from Southern California, and I have found my Mexican food! I wish this place nothing but the best: good spirits, good health, and prosperity. Thank you to the owner and chefs. Blessings to you.
