Just a heads-up: the sides of beans and rice are the small 2 oz salsa cups located between the glass-bottled Cokes, and they're $1.50 each.
The customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The staff rarely come across as friendly, welcoming, or particularly helpful, and it's been a consistent experience every time I've visited. That said, I go there for the food, not the service. The food is good enough to keep me coming back, but a little courtesy and better customer service would make a noticeable difference. Food is great most of the time though. I keep going back from time to time for their colita de Pavo tacos.

Red sauce was delish! Had the perfect little spicy bite, absolutely loved it. Was super happy the egg was an option for enchiladas! It was more food than I could eat in two meals. Also, would be remiss to not mention the real refried beans. Arrived hot and fast and perfect by Jimmy the dasher. New fave restaurant in Carlsbad.

The Asada Fries were great, flavor on point!
The 1/2 dozen tamales I ordered were horrible 3 of them were ok but the other 3 were raw dough and undercooked, didn't seem too fresh!
