Today, Halloween 2026, I found my NEW "go to" pizza place in Pittsburgh, PA!
Which is 1 of my 3 homes.
I also live in Manhattan/NYC,
so I know a thing or 12 about amazing pizza!
After trying several PGH. pizza places over the last few years, today I tried BIG GUYS PIZZA on Bower Hill Road.
I got a Large cheese pizza & loved the many options available to customize it... from types of toppings, to exactly how much I want of each & how I prefer it cooked, to name a few.
Example: Well Done doesn't have to be burned. You can request Lightly Well Done.
&
Extra Sauce doesn't mean it's over soaked. You have options to pick the perfect amount.
Of course, they have many other Menu items, but finding a fantastic cheese pizza was my goal!
Also ~ my delivery guy was SO kind & I didn't mind that he rang the doorbell to hand the pizza to me. Usually I ask for orders to be left on my front porch, not sure if he was sent directly from the restaurant or if he is a DoorDash driver.
I'm glad I gave him a generous tip!!
On that note ~
IF, I had to give a couple small notes/suggestions to make it even better??
I got a Large pie with 2 toppings.
The toppings are finely chopped & tasty.
Pay for extra topping options, if you prefer more.
Also ~
The 10 slices were on the SMALL side.
FYI ~
A legit "NEW YORK STYLE" pizza means one thing... the slices are on the larger side.
With all that being said ~
I definitely will be ordering again, sooner than later!

This is my 2nd review for my FAVORITE Pittsburgh pizza place...
Tonite I got the XL pizza and the size was exactly what I was looking for!
I got the SUPREME pizza and it was Incredible. The minute I lifted the lid of the box, I gasped at how amazing it looked.
I also must share how IMPRESSED I am with the woman who delivered my pizza. The restaurant handles all of their own deliveries and that extra touch makes it extra special from the start. I should of asked her for her name but I hope she reads this and knows how much she's appreciated.
Until my next order... don't hesitate to order yourself & see what I am talking about. I haven't had anything else from the menu yet... but I plan on it soon!!

Lasagna was made of overly spicy sausage and ricotta but the usual gooey cheeses were gone. it seems you buy the basic lasagna then have to buy every single topping separately making the take-out meal very expensive. Not recommended. The Breaded Mushrooms
however were very good.

The hoagie was dry !! The toppings were the least amount you can put on a hoagie. the onions were chopped not sliced. My first time ordering from here and won't be a returning customer. Lastly, the bread wasn't fresh !
