The Oxtail Value Meal was really

The Mac n Cheese was awful. The noodles were so overcooked the were all split and it was mushy. The oxtails weren't seasoned, just salty. Cabbage blah. $30 bucks down the drain. This wasn't a value meal...more like a dive.

Although the seasoning was good, the oxtails were sliced too thin and the serving size was not worth the price.

My first time eating ox tails, they were tough, I could not get the meat off of them, seemed old they were also cut so thin, looked like one oxtail was cut into 10 pieces. The gravy was super dark and tasteless. I feel like my meal was just thrown together, and no love put into it. However, the cabbage was ok and so were the yams. This is second time I have had a bad experience with food. One other time I was displeased with my gumbo order, When I got ready to eat I had one small shrimp, it appeared to be a dried shrimp and one sausage, no chicken The fish has been hard on the ends and curled up, not sure if it's supposed to be catfish or swai being passed off as catfish. The ox tail meal was 30.00, it actually was 46.00 because it was a DD delivery. I am done this time; I have spent many years patronizing this restaurant. Food quality has gone down and prices have inflated.
The owner's wife always run to the office and get the him, then he comes out and look in my direction and walks back in, not sure what that has been about.

The Salisbury Pepper Steak was the best I've had from all the surrounding soul food places and other restaurants. A lot of restaurants call it hamburger steak. I don't know what the difference is, if any, but must be negligible. Looks the same. I chose green beans as one of the sides and they were too salty for me. But I will be ordering the Salisbury pepper steak again.
