I went back to Jersey for a month! I forgot about this place. OMG THE FOOD, ALL OF IT!!!!!! I got the Fried Fish with dressing (Sunday only) with green beans and Collards JESUS! It taste just like Sunday dinner

Fried Fish was amazing, it was hot, flavorful and delicious as it has been in the past. Unfortunately the yams weren't good at all, I order them all the time, today was a MISS! Finally, the Peach Cobbler was just unacceptable, it was cold like refrigerator cold, it obviously wasn't fresh (today fresh), and they put it in a baby container for 4.50, it should at least be the standard small container. Just for context, I order from here almost every week so I'm familiar with their servings. The food today wasn't it...maybe the regular cook was off, either way...money wasted.

I normally enjoy April’s Place, so I was really disappointed with this order. I spent $60.97 on three dinners, and the yams were not cooked properly at all. The fish also wasn’t as good as it normally is, so I’m not sure if something was different in the kitchen that day. I did speak with the manager, Kendell, and he was nice and professional about the situation. I was originally told to return the next day for a refund, but when I came back, the restaurant was unable to process it and I had to go through DoorDash instead. DoorDash did refund me $24.06 for the sides, which I appreciate. Unfortunately, between the food quality and having to make an unnecessary trip back to the restaurant, this experience really turned me off. As much as I’ve enjoyed the food in the past, I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

Tenderism ! Never too salty only place I know you can get a 2 Turkey wing plate for under $20. I can tell the sides are made with love fresh cheese in the mac, high-quality cinnamon in the yams. Any time im free I will order Aprils.

The chicken (thigh and wing) was small, overcooked, and dry which is not the norm. I was very disappointed today. Additionally, the yams were very mushy and not formed, simply just mush and the mac & cheese was a bit runny. We order from here all the time and 99% of the time it is fine but today was a total miss!
