the soup was clean and tasty and fresh.
the fanjiachaodan (fried egg and tomatoes) was delicious like home cooking in shanghai, though I would have liked it better with no noodles and more of the tomato and egg.
I ordered buy 1 get one free on both dishes, so I cant complain about the amounts, but if id paid full price, It would have felt a lititle lacking.
love the food though. delicious!

I love their mapo tofu but the spice level is inconsistent and they have no scale. For example, other restaurants might ask you how mild to how spicy do you want their food on a scale of 1-5. But with Joyee, you get what you get. And the Mapo Tofu has been delivered with random spice level from mild (which I prefer), to burn your face off. The food is so delicious that I keep playing Russian roulette with it, but sometimes it's hard. Today is a burn your face off day so I thought I'd leave a gentle warning to other clients who might not like so much spice.
Also for what it's worth, I like spice but I have gut problems.

The Egg w.Tomato Noodle-番茄鸡蛋刀削面 had shockingly little egg and tomato and was fairly bland, but was overall okay. The Pork Bun-杭州小笼包 was also bland and just tasted like meat.
