The country fried steak here is absolutely amazing; you would be hard-pressed to find a better version anywhere else in the area. The steak itself is perfectly prepared, lightly breaded, exceptionally moist, and thick enough that you can easily cut through it with just a fork. When smothered in their signature homemade gravy, it becomes a sinfully delicious comfort meal that I find myself craving often. 

The portions are incredibly generous, and I find that we can easily get two full meals out of a single order of the steak and biscuits. 

If you are planning to dine here, do yourself a favor and order an extra side of that gravy; while they aren't stingy with the initial portion, you’ll definitely want plenty of it to ensure that both the steak and the biscuits remain thoroughly smothered until the last bite. 

Everything they serve consistently tastes fresh, high-quality, and genuinely homemade.  We will be back!

If you are someone who enjoys Liver & Onions, then I highly recommend you try Country Rose Cafe. Generous portion of tender moist liver smothered with grilled onions. It came with veggies, and I tried the sweet potato tots, which were very tasty. Dinner also included soup. Not sure if the bean and ham soup was homemade or canned, but it too, was delicious. Meal was hot and well packaged. Excellent first time experience!

10/10! Always love going here! Glad they added to DoorDash finally! Same heavy portion like in the restaurant. Followed the instructions! Very delicious and I am one happy lady right now!

Farmers Hobo Hash was amazin as always.  Huge portion, well seasoned
Sausage Gravy  was surprisingly bland. wouldnt order it again.

My family have been eating at Country Rose for over 20 years. Wonderful local gem with great food and good portion sizes! Highly recommend trying their food if you have not yet. Their Hobo Hash is delicious.
