My fiance and I have been going here and ordering here for years now. He is a chef (generationally and went to school for it) and he will tell you Vietnam house is hands down the best in Myrtle beach. And I would agree. We have tried Pho Claire and lemongrass but none compare. Especially for the price. pho Claire added cinnamon. Lemongrass was good but bland.

The Garlic Chicken Wings (4 wings) had a very light taste tonight like they was trying to stretch the sauce the rice was flavorless very nasty tonight I don't know what happened tonight   but the food was nasty!

So... I come from a place that serves authentic Viet food because there is a large community of Vietnamese people in the area. This food is not Viet style food. It's Chinese spices and style of cooking over Vermicelli noodles. They literally put Cha Shu in the noodle bowl and that made me kind of upset. There was no cilantro in the bowl, the carrots did not have a strong\sweet brine and there was no thit nuong. I was very sad at the experience. On the positive, the food did taste fine it just wasn't Viet spices. The fish sauce was only so so. I will say this, those were the best little eggrolls I've ever had. They had ginger in them and maybe coriander seeds. I hope that I can find a place in this area that actually serves Vietnamese food and not an amalgam of Viet-Chinese food.
