Absolutely delicious! As a Korean, I have tried ordering from almost every Korean-style tonkatsu spot around here. Some places were way overpriced for poor quality (like charging $28 for a thin, tasteless cutlet), and others started off okay but got worse over time. I used to only order them as a last resort when I was craving it desperately.
Today was my first time ordering from King Katsu, and I am so incredibly happy! The tonkatsu is literally larger than an adult's face, yet it is so tender and flavorful. The outside is perfectly crispy, and the meat is so soft that it cuts effortlessly even with a disposable plastic knife. I also love how they carefully pack the meat in a separate paper box so it doesn't get soggy or mixed with other sauces. It’s so clean and thoughtful. I finally found a proper Korean tonkatsu place, and I am definitely a regular now!

I think the flavor profile just isnt for me. The Cheese Katsu was nice and crispy and the portions are generous. My food did arrive cold, so it wasn't fresh but, I do think that's due to my dasher dropping off other orders along with mine. The sides were way too sweet for my liking. The pickled veggies were very sugary and both the cabbage salad and macaroni salad were on the sweet side. Even the spicy sauce had sweetness to it. Overall I just don't think the flavor profile is for me, but that doesn't mean the food is bad, it's just not to my liking.

I had the King's Combo. Everything was good except for the hamburger . It tasted somewhat processed. The chicken & fish were really good. The chicken was not dry as i always worry that restaurants make sure that it is not raw , so it ends up being overcooked. Chicken was juicy and not dry. Fish was good with a nice crunch.
