"Charlotte, NC's Caribbean Hut"
Trevor Lewis decided around 15 years ago to provide Charlotte, North Carolina something it lacked: an authentic Caribbean restaurant experience.
I got the Jerk Chicken for myself and if you're a spice lover this meal is for you! Chicken was tender and falling off the bone. Large is a great portion size. I got the Curry Chicken for my little cousin and he tore it up! We also got the Macaroni & Cheese but it was okay. Probably could've been cooked a lil longer. But regardless 10/10 would recommend!

My Fav! Always the stew is unmatched! Very juicy, flavorful. Plenty rice n gravy. Cabbage is fresh with good flavor! Love it.

Recently moved from FL to NC so I had to leave behind my favorite authentic jamaican restaurant BUT finding this place is like winning the lottery it's authentic & serves many delicious fresh dishes for example , the Coco Bread is insanely authentic and delicious (for those who don't know, you put the Beef or Chicken Pattie in between the Coco Bread!!!!! Thank me later) I am plant based so I've tried the Curry Tofu dish they have & it is so delicious I couldn't stop myself when I had it!!! Please try ANY of the soups it's so so yummy!! The chef is insanely talented when it comes to seasoning items, if you've ever been to the islands or have a jamaican or an island granny or aunty you'd notice they check the seasonings of the dish by pouring it into their hands! The chef did exactly that, filled my heart with joy when seeing that. I will be going here for as long as I live here, love this place I wish it nothing but infinite business & good vibes! Also just a suggestion for plant based folk like me I'd love it if you guys would incorporate a veggie pattie in the menu! Oh & try the Sorrel it'll blow your mind!!!

As a Caribbean man I approve of the business the food taste very AUTHENTIC!!! Jerk chicken is always fresh and juicy 20/10 and for my vegetarian community out there I do recommend the TOFU 20/10 keep doing a great job!!!!

Curry chicken was delicious, but doesn't come with rice & peas and cabbage like I thought bc of the other photo on here! Chicken was perfection! Plantains we're perfectly cooked with a light crispy from the sugar crystalizing & Fried Okra was fresh and perfectly seasoned!
