I've heard about their crispy fried chicken from friends, had to try this place. It did not disappoint. The batter is crispy, the meat juicy and pairs wonderfully with the sweet and sour sauce. Their salted fish fried rice is perfection as well. My favorite is the shrimp egg foo young. It has a good amount of shrimp and the sauce when ordered togo is kept in a separate container that you pour over the egg foo young. I didn't take a picture of it because it was first thing we devoured lol. For the price the portions are great. I highly recommend South Villa.

Their Tinola was placed in a 2 large containers, 3 small chickens in 1 container and 2 small chickens in the other container. The rest is soup and veggies. Not worth paying $17.50 with mostly soup and only 5 small chickens. The taste is bland too!

I always order at this place and its my favorite when I'm craving for Filipino food. It's delcious and with good portion I wish Kare Kare have more big portion but their Lechon Kawali is freshly cooked toi and crispy.

I ordered the "real lumpia" ($6) for the first and last time. It was the size of a large burrito, so I thought that was a good sign. I was wrong. It was filled with cabbage and small canned green beans and slivvers of carrots. I counted only THREE tiny pieces of precooked chicken (?), thinly cut in to 3/4" slices. Wasn't worth a penny! The lunch combo plate came with one foil-wrapped chicken. That was a disaster! The thin paper lining inside of the foil stuck to the meat. Every single bite included PAPER, despite the messy attempt to remove the paper stuck onto the chicken meat. Very disappointed, since this is supposed to be a "Filipino" food restaurant.
