The pan con bistec & the Cuban Philly sandwiches were both so good. It had a lot meat and was very tasty. Side choice was also good from fries, sweet potato fries or maduros( plantains). Would definitely order from Merengue Bakery again. We had an awesome lunch.

This time I got a chocolate declare. It had real, thick chocolate on top, not just the usual overly sweet icing. Their chocolate chip cookies: my go-to. Beautiful and delicious fruit tart.

-2 for the food, no flavor and Cuban Sandwich & Medianoche Sandwich was dry and frankly a disgrace for a Cuban-spot to serve. What happened? They used to be so good but last few meals there have been nothing to write home about.

I have been really disappointed with the quality of the dessert especially for the price point. I was excited for the bread pudding but once I tasted the dessert it was just overwhelming disappointment, it was stale and tasted like freezer burn. The decorative whipped cream was do hard that it just flakes off. Same for the tiramisu slice, you could taste the freezer burn in the breading. However, the coffee was great. I don't recommend the desserts.
