My great-grandparents, Carlo "Papa" and Antonia Campisi, emigrated from Sicily to New Orleans in 1904, beginning a strange history of the Campisi family in America.
In 1950, we relocated to Mockingbi…
Some of the best chicken Curry and chicken Korma I've ever had. I'll definitely be back to eat inside, the interior of the restaurant is beautiful and the staff are so nice. Servings could be larger for the price, but good flavor and spice overall.

I'm not normally a review guy but I like Indian food and this place was an absolute disgrace. I typically order chicken tikka saag but since it was my first time at this place I wanted to order the classic CTM and see what they're about. First bad look was the outside of the building. It looked like it has been closed for at least a year because everything was overgrown and dirty. Second bad sign was the interior. It had a funny smell (like natural gas) and it just gave bad dirty vibes even though they might be hiding it well.
Now for the food... First off $22 dollars for any Indian food is crazy, I'd say $18 is the average so I was expecting an above average amount of food. It was not. The rice was acceptable but thats where it ends. The Chicken Tikka Masala had barely any chicken and the sauce was practically tomato soup. I would have rather went to Tom & Chee if I wanted to get scammed on tomato soup. Absolutely no traditional spices and there was way too much oil.
Overall very disappointed and I feel like the farther I get from downtown the worse the Indian food gets. Yall got no passion

Gave this place another try after two uninspiring experiences with them over a year ago. The chicken Korma was thin consistency (soup-like) and sparse in ingredients. The chicken Konkani (Goa) was essentially spicy cream and the chicken was tough to cut or chew due to being significantly overcooked. The Garlic Naan was tasty but only one small piece for $6 is crazy!

We love the lamb Rogan Josh and the lamb Vindaloo. And we're recently discovered the potato pancake appetizer which has wonderful flavors. We've tried other Indian but this is the place with the flavors we love.
