My father is a refugee from Kabul and most of my family, including him now live in California. I try to cook Afghan food at home but it never hits the same way my family makes it. This food was amazing!! Every single dish we ordered had such a beautiful balance of spices. The 15. Banjan Borani and 8. Afghan Chicken Biryani were made to perfection! I will definitely be ordering from Afghan Cuisine again soon and very often!

The 5. Lamb Shank with Pulao was very good. I thought the pulao would have some cinnamon and cardamom, but I couldn't detect any. I think that would really add to the flavor and I would love it. This is a very generous portion; enough for another meal.

Been eating here for a while now and it's always had delicious fluffy white rice with some yellow in it from the spices. Today it was awful! It was full of the spice all over no butter and it had chunks of hard cinnamon sticks in it and pieces of the chicken were hard and small. I don't know what happened but it was it was inedible. waste of 30+ dollars. I was completely shocked it's been my go-to now with the rice and chicken for a while absolutely horrific
