I'm up in Columbus for work for the next six weeks so I've been trying different foods out. This is the fifth African restaurant I've tried during my time here and it's been the best one by far. A couple of the others have been great and a couple have been good but Afra was superb. The storefront was impeccably clean and the gentleman working up front was swift and kind. Got the food back to my hotel and I could tell it was a masterpiece before the first bite. The largest portion of lamb I've gotten in any dish I've purchased in Columbus and it was cooked perfectly. Tender, juicy, falling right off of the bone. The Jollof rice with the noodles, beans and pickled red onions with the green and orange sauces is where the magic truly is. Perfect combination of sweet heat and the beef pastry I bought with it made for the perfect appetizer. If you're in the area and looking for good African food, you're only doing yourself a disservice by not eating here. I'll absolutely be back.

Afra grill is one of my favorites at Easton. their food is so flavorful and delicious that I am always ordering from them. Chicken Afra Bowl is delicious but I am partial to the Chicken Suqaar. the beef Sanbus is kind of like an empanada but waayyy better. definitely give them a try! you will not be disappointed.

I don't know how I keep forgetting how good their food is. I finally tried the oxtail and it's a very nice portion. However, they aren't super tender but the flavor definitely makes up for it. Tres leches is so smooth.

the portion sizes were decent for the Roasted Lamb Shank. the beans were amazing! should have ordered more. the Chicken Quesadilla was also on point and fries were hot and fresh. my only complaint was that my lamb Shank was too tough. the flavor was there.. it just missed the mark on tenderness. Will order again in the future and see if that was a one off.. other than that. worth trying for sure. the Pic for the Chicken Quesadilla was after my greedy butt daughter had already ate half of it. so just know the portion sizes are bigger that the pic I showed for the Quesadilla.

The ROASTED GOAT and MAJESTIC LAMB SHANK are were very tender. The mashed potato with egg inside didn't travel well, but the flavor was good. I would try it again if I go in person. The portions were huge and produce was fresh.
