You can’t get better Bar-B-Que anywhere in the state of Colorado. I’m from Texas and they truly have Texas barbecue at AJ‘s. It can’t be beat anywhere Bar-B-Que is sold in Denver. I’ve had brisket the sausage and pulled pork and they were all great! You also can’t beat their customer service! Excellent!

Brisket and banana pudding were excellent. Sausage, cole slaw, and corn bread were solid. We did not care for the mac and cheese--probably personal preference but there is a strong unexpected flavor. They forgot our Texas toast. Overall, high prices for pretty good food at a smaller portion than you think you'll get. BBQ takes all day to make so I'm somewhat forgiving, but expect to pay for one meal what would get you 2-3 from other take out options.

You can't get better brisket in Denver! Being from Texas myself it took me a long time to find real Texas barbecue in Denver, but I found it at AJ's! The smoked brisket can't be beat!

The Smoked Pastrami was ok.
The Smoked Brisket was dry
And the Beef Rib Short End was horrible. It tasted like burnt meat from way to much smoke.
Spent $70 on food I am not even gonna eat.
