Sushi and BBQ squid was amazing. THE BEST shrimp fried rice I've ever had. Nice sized seared shrimp in every bite.

Hibachi salmon lunch was great, nice big portion! Same with the sushi lunch. Perfect portion, fresh fish. Always a pleasure to order from here

Very sad with this order, the sushi was very bland today, get these same two rolls all the time and this is the first time I have to say im very disappointed. They didnt have much flavor at all and the wasabi was not separated from the 64. California Roll so it was smashed all together not eating those pieces that's for sure. The clear soup was missing the crunchies which makes it useless to me. Just a very sad order today, this has always been my favorite Japanese restaurant, but today it was jusr subpar.

Hibachi Filet Mignon - don't waste the $29 - I ended up getting beef tips well done. I asked fir them to not cut the steak and they said that was not possible because it was teriyaki.  I never asked for teriyaki!!!! I wish I were in DC - real Japanese steakhouses. I also ordered salmon sashimi and I got a Sushi roll!!!

Akaya never disappoints. Their lo mein is the best I've had in Jacksonville.
