This place has much better fried chicken than dave's! The portions are more than enough for an individual. And its affordable on top of all this. I totally recommend al's! As an added bonus, the chicken is Halal too!

The sandwich #1 is great. Less adventurous eaters should consider medium or below spicy levels. My favorite modifications are extra crispy and extra seasoning on the fries. The white sauce and Al's hot sauce are awesome!

The mac & cheese was bland, the hot chicken was dry and did not taste freshly made the oil that the chicken is fried in needs to be changed...The collard greens was bitter tasting so I didn't enjoy it...The cole slaw was ok...I was not happy with my meal at all...But I might try Al's Hot Chicken again maybe this was just a bad day because I had their chicken sandwich before and loved it...

Horrible first time experience. Food was cold and fries were old. Very rubbery texture. The fried pickles were sooo soggy and oily with too much seasoning.
The Mac n Cheese was worse than Kraft. No cheese at all and taste like plain noodles. The sandwich was very disappointing. Put together very sloppy with little coleslaw and dressing. It wasn't even a chicken breast, it was 2 chicken strips on a bun. Everything taste like it's been sitting out all day. I would never ever try this place ever again. Would not recommend.

So Al's Chicken has been my go to comfort food chicken place ever since I moved to LA a couple of months back. But unfortunately my last order was not that great :-( The chicken was very stale and chewy and refried. Even the chips were soggy and watery. Perhaps it was a bad day at the kitchen? Nonetheless I will order from Als again but I am hoping they will send me fresh and delicious food like they always do!
