• 5/3/26Holy wow. Beautifully crispy katsu even after traveling. The Cheese Katsu is *out of this world*. Very generous portion featuring deliciously flavorful mozzarella wrapped in a thin, tender layer of pork and fried to perfection. Incredible.
The Pork Tenderloin Katsu was also very good, but the Cheese Katsu has my heart. Can't recommend enough and will definitely be ordering again.

• 4/9/26I have eaten and some of the top Tonkatsu restaurants in Toyko and this was by far the best I've had since. Delicious, chicken was nice breast meat and the breading was airy and crispy and perfect. They even had the traditional katsu sauce we had in Japan... so happy, made my day. Next time I'll have the pork . Thank you!

• 5/18/26Honestly the best Chicken Tenderloin Katsu I've ever had, and best katsu in general- I feel like that's saying a lot given that it was delivered and not even the peak freshness of having it in-restaurant. Extremely flavorful with great crunch and tender chicken, not dry at all or greasy which is often an issue, especially when delivered. Great value as well since the portion is large. Will definitely be ordering again.

• 5/28/26I highly recommend this store, AMAZING KATSU San Mateo. The PORK LOIN KATSU is a delicious pork loin in curry sauce. They earned 5 stars from me. Excellent service.
