Needed a snack for me and the lady, got the traditional, goat and chicken sambusa. SO GOOD!! We got the grilled fish too, cooked perfectly and the seasoning was spot on. Honestly, everything was so comforting and tasty, definitely a must try for ethnic food on the Boise Bench.

This is my first time trying anything African food related so i didnt know what to expect other than what tik tok has showed me. First is the Sore E Loy... AMAZING. The beef was super tender and the flavor was out of this world. The fufu was clumpy...? I thought it was suppose to be more smooth so it was easier to pickup and use as a food vessel BUT just take some on a spoon and dunk it in the stew and it's pretty much the same thing. The sliced dolshi was amazing, a nice neutral cake after a super flavorful stew. 100000000/10!!!! This is going to be my new favorite place to go!

The portion of veggie stew was tiny, just broth with a few sad veggies floating in a half-filled container. Fufu was slimy and cut up in chunks instead of a fresh ball as is customary. The sambusa was served without sauce and floating in grease. And the veggie stew tasted like boiled cabbage water. I dumped half a teaspoon of salt and still cannot taste any spices or flavors at all. Would expect a burst of African flavors but instead this is more bland than most American dishes I've tried. Major major fail.

The food is so flavorful and always fresh and hot, staff are kind friendly people, happy to share recommendations and tell you about foods you may not have had before. There is always plenty of food too, and new items every time I visit. Love Amina's

The Goat Sambusas were fire. warm, well done, the pastry was intact and not overdone or raw, the filling was plentiful, well cooked, seasoned, and proportions. There is no food in the pick because I devoured it.
Be aware that they are a little oily, as you can see some residual grease on the oaper, but this added to the flavor and home style vibe to the food.
These are hella good, 10/10 will eat again.
