Awesome! I got the brisket. It was delicious! I got for lunch but so much food, I'll eat on it tonight. Brisket was tender, all meat, barely any fat! No barbeque sauce on the meat, so if you want that, ask for some on the side.

I had the BBQ chicken with a side of brisket. My sides were cheese spaghetti and yams. It also came with rice dressing. Everything was absolutely delicious ! The food was seasoned perfectly. I enjoyed every bite!

I'm a sucker for comfort food. I've already written about the Liver from Anointed Soul. One of Thursday's other choices is Meat Loaf. I love the stuff. It's hearty, it's filling and it sticks to the bones. What's not to love about that?
It comes with mashed potatoes and I get a side of white beans. There's a gravy on the spuds that ties it all together.
I've ordered it before and I'll order it again. I've never been let down by Anointed Soul. They are on my to-go list or restaurants in New Iberia.

I don't know whether it's because I'm old or old-fashioned, but I love Liver. Anointed Soul has it every Thursday and about 50% of the time, so am I. (They also have meatloaf on Thursday and that is my other 50%.)
The liver tastes great. It's in a thick onion gravy which is hard to resist. The portion size is consistent with the price. It is something I order time and time again.

Dissatisfied with the brisket portion served and the bland flavor considering the high cost of this plate lunch. Mac n Cheese is not the same as I've had regularly for years. It was watery and undercooked.
