Best Chinese food in Old Town Alexandria, and the General Tso's Chicken might just be the best in the metro DC area!

Prices pretty high compared to other Chinese restaurants, especially given that portions and quality weren’t any better than 90% of other restaurants. Crab Meat Rangoon (6 Pcs.) was minimally filled and very dry and hard, definitely not worth $17 for 6 pieces. Beef Satay Skewer (4 Pcs.) skewers were also tough, and had an artificial tasting sweetness to them. White Meat Sweet and Sour Chicken was good, but the portion for $27 was average size you would pay maybe $16-$19 for at any other place. Same for the lo Roast Pork Lo Mein , decent but not worth $25….

Rice noodle soup with chickenVegetable Spring RollHot oil the soup was a good portion. the spring roll was a tiny fried egg roll. An the chil oil is a mini tester cup. I wouldn't order the chili or spring roll again. No value.

I ordered the General Tso's Chicken. I was really close to giving it 5 stars because the taste, the portion sizes (b/c wow those are some big cuts of chicken), and freshness were all great, but unfortunately the chicken was dry. It wasn't bone dry, but it wasn't close to juicy at all. This was my second time ordering it with the same result so kind of disappointed, but with the other factors I would still be open to trying other dishes on the menu. I'd probably even try the chicken again; 3rd times the charm, right?
