I found Bamboo's food to be a step above the usual sushi offerings in the Portland area. I loved the Green Machine with albacore and seaweed fried rice. My husband and seemed to appreciate his meal, too.

If the food was cheaper I probably wouldn't care but I paid $21 for an 8 roll as a special treat for myself and the avocado was brown. They've also changed their once god tier level good Spicy Aioli to a generic sauce. Really disappointing.

Disappointing! I am a big Green Machine lover, but this time it was flavorless and 99% rice and tempura. Not worth the price.

It was just okay for the price point. 1) all locations seem to have changed the green machine with salmon to minced salmon instead of salmon nigiri which made it taste way different and worse. 2) specialty nigiri tasted really bland and not fresh and nothing special. Would expect such a big name like Bamboo to hold a high standard of quality but it seems to have gone down a lot in the past couple years sad :(

Took an hour to prepare (on a slow Monday). Way overpriced for the portion size. $12 for two bites of nigiri? Everything tasted good though.
