It was my first DD order from this Café so will give them the benefit of the doubt. The princess cake slice was OK. The marzipan was dry and the cake itself spongy. The "almond croissant" was not an almond croissant at all, by any definition. Looked nothing like the photo even. It was a like a very large (and dry) pastry in a U shape. As for the "chausson" I expected a traditional french chausson (basically an apple turnover) since their website says they are French. Nope. It was a large, circular Danish-like pastry with an apple toping.that looked too sweet Also dry. I may try this place again but will go in person.

Everything I've ever gotten here has been delicious. The owner is very nice. High quality charming spot and it's nice to have a great dessert spot in the neighborhood.

We were expecting the [REGULAR!] CLASSICALLY-FAMOUS & WELL-KNOWN Claire's featured in the image of Belmont Cafe as well as listed in their item description [[which was supposed to have had CHOCOLATE but did NOT].
Also, the INSIDE of the CLASSICAL eclaire has YELLOW CUSTARD whereas Belmont Cafe's eclaire had some cream-color NOT-MOCHA but "mocha-ish" tasting custard... :(
Sadly, in terms of THIS dessert: we're DISAPPOINTED!
