The chicken was a little overcooked. It is usually excellent. The Denver Omelette was excellent, lots of ham and onions. We would order both again. The fruit salad was great. It was fresh with lots of variety. The meals were beautifully packed. The butter melted so close to hot meals. We continue to be Black Bear fans! Thanks.

I had heard a lot of negative reviews about black bear so I had to try it myself. The meal I had was chicken fried Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs and I loved it. The potatoes were cooked to perfection the eggs were exactly how I asked. Idk, I don't listen to other reviewers until I've tried it myself. This time it was good. I don't have pics cuz I ate it too fast to take a pic

I ordered a bowl of soup of the day. What I received was a smallish container. The soup had chunks of meat (beef possibly) in it and what I think was hominy. The chunks of meat were mostly hard pieces of connective tissue interspersed with small bits of meat. I could not eat those. I rated as liked because I did like the broth and hominy.
