I ♡ Black Cow Café!!!! French Onion Soup
was very flavorful and yummy (would have
been even better ordered in the restaurant
so that the gruyère could be freshly melted
on top and stay there and so it would arrive
much hotter than it with delivery, but that's
nothing a bit of reheating in the microwave
couldn't fix), Dinner Rolls (pillow soft, fluffy
clouds of savory deliciousness - these were
perfect), Broiled Skirt Steak Salad (wanted
the steak medium rare and it was done just
right - sooo, sooo good), Vegetarian Penne
with Blackened Chicken (this was cozy and
yummy, I reheated this dish a little bit too),
Zucchini Bread (this was just as amazing as
it always is - it's absolutely iconic), German
Chocolate Cake (this one, honestly, wasn't
my favorite, to be fair I was pretty full when
I got around to it, but it isn't something I'd
likely choose to order for dessert from here
again), Chocolate Ganache Cake (this was
perfect and I'd happily eat this one again)!!
The portions were all reasonably generous
and the salad greens were all very nice and
fresh. Would definitely order here again!!!!

For the amount they give you, $12 for this French Onion Soup is just outrageous. It's also extremely salty. The Breakfast Potatoes tasted just ok, but they were too oily.

Chicken Sausage and Spinach Omelet was tasty but potatoes a bit oily. Same for Joes Scramble. The side order of bacon was a bit overcooked too.
Sourdough bread not toasted enough and they gave a very small portion of jam to go on two slices of bread.

Grilled Breakfast Burrito was very overpriced for what it was. Small, no flavor and had very few pieces of bacon.

For a place with a line out the door everyday, the food is pretty mediocre. I've been here for dinner but I tried breakfast today, Huevos Rancheros was meh, bland and tortillas dry. I asked for no fruit and still got it. Zucchini Bread (1 Piece) was alright. Nothing I'd go back for. They stopped serving pastas that originally made me love this place. No need to come back.
