Never a disappointment! When traveling through the area, I order from here. Excellent Hamburger Steak with Gravy! Great taste! Moist. Fried Okra ....fried just enough. Fluffy rice and not sticky.

My first time trying this restaurant. Food was hot and fresh, but extremely underwhelming. The fried okra wasn't seasoned, the rice & gravy came with almost no gravy, and the fried chicken ("jumbo" wings & dark plate), while moist and seasoned well, had almost no meat to it. Kinda disappointing when a plate of soul food leaves you hungry. Won't order from here again.

Tried to like this place but food is not season well and I order a breast the sent just the back bone little meat I guess it was a half of breast.

I moved to New Bern from DC. I've been hard pressed to find some decent soul food in the area. I'm so happy I stumbled across Broad Street Takeout. The fish dinner was really, really tasty. My only critique would be to use real cheese instead of velveeta or Kraft-like products for the mac and cheese. Makes a world of a difference.

My son and I ordered the shrimp plate with mac n cheese and collards! My son also got fries. Hands down the best restaurant in New Bern! Packaging was perfect! You can tell this restaurant takes pride in what they do! Will definitely order from here when I'm in new Bern again for sure!
