Was a bit of a wait, but staff and manager were very kind and welcoming while I waited :)
HIGHLY recommend the Shrimper's Heaven. Always my go-to whenever I come here.

I first got a phone call about them being out of Mac and cheese for my child and then was followed up by they are not willing to replace it, just refund your money in the app. We figured it out for food for her and I requested a refund. I then tasted my food and it was awful. Gumbo tasted like it was from a can, I ordered no pickles on a poboy and there were pickles, and the top piece of bread was so hard it could break a window. Please do not give these people around 30 dollars per item. This place is trash and the customer service is trash as well.

Terrible food.
I'm from the south. You might say I'm familiar with the taste of soul food having eaten it most of my life.
The food here tastes like a cross between lessor quality food made at home and Captain Ds (without the heavy grease).
Culvers has both better shrimp and fish filets for the taste and quantity at the cost.
Speaking of quantity, you're spending twice the money for less for a platter at a place like Captain Ds or Long John Silver's.
You could make the same tasting gumbo at home and have more.
This place is a ripoff.
If it had a signature taste I would be more forgiving, but all the food tastes like lessor quality made at home food at very expensive prices

The Cup Mama Blue’s Shrimp Gumbo was just broth and not a single piece of shrimp was in there. The Grilled Shrimp Skewer was good.
