Wow one of the best beef ribs I ever had!! Everything was soooo delicious I literally licked the potato salad container clean. The chicken was a bit dry and not as flavorful after you eat the skin but over all this felt like a true barbecue experience

Amazing food! The bbq chicken was the best I have had in the area. Tender, tasty and plentiful. The sides- coleslaw was excellent. Fresh and so tasty.
BBQ beans were also great. And- the garlic bread and sweet potato pie were the best!!
Overall, we were so pleasantly impressed

Spent $80. The portion size and quality were poor. The food had clearly been reheated and was almost cold. The ribs were a bit dry and so was the brisket. Bubba's used to be great quality and a good value when they were in La Jolla. They are double the price now and a clearly substandard quality. So disappointed. Will never order here again. Maybe new owners with different standards??

I have yet to find a decent BBQ spot in San Diego (Native NYer here). While the Beef Brisket (USDA Prime) was pretty decent , the Cornbread was unacceptable. I thought I was going to get atleast an attempt of "homemade" cornbread but I got a stale , tiny, scone instead. Macaroni & Cheese was a good attempt. 6.5/10 at best
