Love getting breakfast from Cafe Bernardo on the weekends! The Soft Scramble is my current favorite vegetarian option, and the Buttermilk Pancakes are always outstanding. Portions are generous and the eggs are always fluffy and well seasoned.

I used to order the grilled salmon salad on a regular basis. The issue is that depending on who prepares it. It is always different. Sometimes it is presented in a very lovely way and you get a big piece of salmon and you get all of the other items listed. There should be not a giant pile of wet lettuce simply because I asked for dressing on the side five slim radishes, five pieces of avocado and no seeds that I could find. That's not a good value. It's unfortunate because this salad used to be very good. The grilled salmon BLT was a disappointment as well. Smallest pieces of grilled sourdough I asked for no mayo, but my bottom pieces of bread were saturated in bacon fat the bacon was not crispy. It was limp and soaked in oil. The salmon was in pieces. The presentation was not acceptable if you want repeat customers, you have to care about giving people what they pay for. If I dined in the restaurant, I'm sure the quality would have been better. Happy Mother's Day next time make a better effort.

Most things they make are really good. But the chicken breast was dry and over-priced for the small amount of food.
One time I forgot to specify dressing on the side and my salad sampler was inedible it had so much dressing on it. And they have forgotten to include my fries a couple times.

The salad was as perfect as the photo on the menu, and it was absolutely delicious. The bib lettuce was a delightful surprise (we are used to getting bagged salad lettuce from most restaurants).

This could possibly be the best sandwich ever with one very easy tweak... the delicious bread is toasted so hard it is borderline painful to bite into and chew. Kudos to the inventor if the yummy sandwich filling but....
