As a Turkish person living im Chicago, this healed me. The seasoning is perfect, the portions are huge and the pide and doner are just delightful. I'm reallt picky about my Iskender , but this one was absolutely amazing.

Wanted something different from the usual and Istanbul Cafe was perfect to go. The Lahmacun (like a ground meat flatbread) topped with their salty yogurt was soo good. The Iskender (braised beef in tomato sauce over toasted pide cubes) is your new fave traybake. And they sent a little rice pudding - what a great treat! Next time we'll dine in, and I can't wait.

Rack of Lamb exquisite! Perfectly tender, nice and meaty, delicious!! The veggies that come with are a wonderful array vs boring veggies that other restaurants serve. This was 2nd time ordering.....and my 1st experience was great like this one.
Turkish Feta Salad - beautiful, fresh and delicious! Generous amount of feta and is nice that the feta is shredded vs crumbled.
Cafe Istanbul delivers quality food, beautifully presented and quickly!

This place is delicious IRL and so glad it's on DoorDash finally. Everything is fresh and well made. The details of the meals are awesome, for example the rice pilaf actually has peas, carrots and onions vs just plain yellow rice. The side salad comes w delicious homemade dressing and is not your reg side salad w just a few pieces of lettuce thrown in a box w a cucumber and tomato. Delicious. Think maybe even herbs in there. Chicken Kebab was yummy and the Hummus was a substantial amount and also delicious. A side option of hot sauce and labneh/yogurt would be nice however. The provided bread is also so good and will eat for breakfast tmrw. This is going to become a regular go to for me!

My Turkish friends say this place is the most authenticround. The Cag Kebab and Iskender was out of this world. I amgoing to be a regular. Might even orer again tomorrow.
