I ordered the fish and shrimp with rice and tomato
The fish was delicious and very tasty, the shrimp was wonderful full of flavor
The tomatoes was delicious spiced and the rice had great texture and tasted. I must say this place gives you your money worth and great tasting food...
I'll definitely be ordering from here again soon...

Portions for the 2 PIECE BATTERED FISH & CHIPS are finally back and worthy of the price. The fish and fries astes as great as I remember. I got mine with the coleslaw, which is the best in town. Tasty TARTAR SAUCE with the fish and a CHOCOLATE BROWNIE to close out the meal. California Fish Grill did not disappoint today.

Fish was pretty dry and lacked flavor for a 20 dollar simple meal i wouldnt buy again and the portions was pretty small in my opinion. The fish didnt taste fresh it was like it was cooked 2 days ago and reheated. Everything tasted like left overs to me. I was expecting the fish to be jucier

THE BEST 3 PIECE BATTERED FISH & CHIPS IVE EVER HAD IN BAKERSFIELD- No lie! I'm from the United Kingdom and have very high standards of battered fish.
The batter was light, perfectly crispy and golden - the Swai fish was unknown to me but has a very similar taste and texture to Atlantic Cod.
The coconut shrimp is on another level - I wish I'd ordered more!! This isn't the usual frozen coconut shrimp that is ubiquitous - this is hand crafted and high end.
I'm never impressed with American fries- I'll come teach you how to make proper British chips ;-)
My fish and chip go to from now on!
