I have been eating at this restaurant since it had a shop in Costa Mesa. I absolutely love the food and it is a lot healthier then traditional Chinese take away shops. 

The Mongolian beef is soft and had a lot of meat to veg ratio and has a very good and nice ginger under tone that keeps the dish light feeling. 

The shrimps with chefs special sauce has the right amount of spice and the brocoli adds an extra health factor to it. I miss being able to add extra white pepper to it w extra homemade chili oil but I would rather be able to eat and enjoy it at my home then not have it again. An absolute must try if you love shrimp. Blows the basic honey walnut shrimp out of the water.

The chow mein is a good dish that has the typical flavors of an expected Chinese American there is enough meat and the portion is enough for 2-3 hungry people. It is not overly salted and is the correct amount of seasoning without being over bearing as chow mein can get salty.

If you love tofu their tofu with mushrooms is amazing the tofu with spinach is also very good. The brown sauce adds the right amount of flavor with the soft silken tofu that eats like a savory custard. I absolutely love this dish when I am feeling the craving for Chinese takeout with something healthy the brown sauce is amazing even on its own.

Food was slimey, tepid, and inedible. Restaurant quality sharply declined from the past and portions were 70% of what they used to be- not that we would have finished it all. We didn't eat the paltry portions we received.

We usually have great experiences with California Wok. However, this time...not so much. The egg rolls had a weird taste to them and were very bland. I guess they must have run out of their regular containers, the plastic top and black tray, because we received both our entrees, Chicken Lomain and Sweet and Sour Chicken both arrived in small white containers. I don't think those white containers hold as much as the regular containers but we paid the same. Just didn't have a good experience this time.

Did not taste good, I've eaten here several
Times and the quality has been terrible 
The cream cheese wontons are hard and not even melted inside we bit into it with  confidence and it was hard cream cheese? 10 pieces of chicken in our whole entree mostly carrots & sauce what is going on?

Soo good. I love the sauce and the silky tofu. The dish has a lot of tofu!  It comes with mushrooms and some pea pods but I wish it had more vegetables like broccoli or something.
