@CANA, where have you been all our lives? We love you!!!
(Ok, I wrote that with a dramatic, light-hearted tone. I’m not actually inquiring about prior addresses or the prior workplaces of Cana’s workers (by asking “where have you been?”). I was just kidding around. BUT, the point I wanted to dramatize so it stands out to encourage others to try Cana’s Korean corn dog (all cheese corn dog) is: we DO do love Cana, for its CONSISTENTLY DELICIOUS FOOD (particularly the Korean corn dog), and it’s GREAT, FRIENDLY and HELPFUL EMPLOYEES, and their food is delicious!
It is SO refreshing to have something different than the standard menus we're used to!
If you have not yet had Cana’s Korean corn dog (the “all cheese” version), then treat yourself NOW to one (or more)! You won’t regret it!!! They’re best plain, or with sweet chili sauce and/or ketchup dipping sauce on the side. Even if you have tried the “all cheese” version of Korean corn dogs somewhere else (and liked or hated them), try Cana’s!!! Cana has nailed it 98% perfectly! (I have to hold back 2% because, in the 1980’s, there was a place in Baybrook mall that sold corn dogs (meat with corn dog coating) and “cheese dogs” (Velveeta, American or similar cheese with corn dog coating, deep fried). Those “cheese dogs” were the bomb!!! 100% awesome! Maybe 100% unhealthy, so we only got them about twice a year. But on taste alone, they score 100+, and Cana comes in with a very close 2nd at 98! And Cana’s tastes MUCH healthier! No greasy taste. No heavy coating. Just light and delicious!
Also, 2 other things I LOVE about Cana (if you want to keep reading ... I know this is getting long - sorry): (1) when I had a question about the brand of sweet chili sauce they use, they enclosed a notecard with our delivery order answering my question and providing information about the brand names of other dipping sauces, so we could buy them at the store!!! There are ONLY 2 restaurants that have done that (enclosed a written note answering a question I wrote in the "special instructions" box) -- this one (Cana) and NOKturne. Everyone else has not replied to provide the responsive info. So, thank you Cana and NOKturne!!! And, as you can see from our multiple orders since then, just because you let us know the sauce brand did Not cause us to start making our own Korean corn dogs instead of ordering from you. Not at all! Instead, it has the opposite effect: We order from you MORE OFTEN because we are now even More Loyal because one of your employees went the extra step to answer our question with a written note enclosed with our order; and
(2) a second reason we LOVE your restaurant: you let us include special instructions!!! So FEW places still do that, and it's terribly frustrating. I really appreciate that you do it!!! I use the special instructions to let you know if we want any dipping sauces, and if so, which ones and how many. That way, we are not wasteful. For example, tonight, only 1 person out of 4 wanted dipping sauces with his food, so we were able to let you know exactly what he wanted instead of wasting many different sauces.
