• 2/5/25First time ordering from Captain Jay's, and they did not disappoint. Everything came hot and fresh (I live in Rochester Hills, considering the distance... it came hot!!) The chicken was crispy outside, juicy inside. I think I found my new go too for fried chicken, and now I know where to go for the best catfish. Only downfall... I should have ordered more mac and cheese.. it was delicious 😋

• 5/23/26Sorry I didn't take pictures, I was too hungry lol!Perch (3 pcs) Combo was cooked perfectly. I asked for the Fish cooked hard, and it was fried and seasoned to perfection! The Dasher followed my instructions and was friendly and courteous. Small Okra was delicious also. Thanks Captain Jay's for a job well done!

• 7/26/25For the price point I was definitely surprised by how good the food was. The 4 pc Catfish Fillet was tasty and the hot sauce was really good, too. The 2 pc Perch Fillet was very mild and not fishy tasting at all. The Special 8pc Leg & Thigh chicken was pretty good and their seasonings were perfect and not overly salty. overall I'm very satisfied with my order and the price. it's not the best fish and chicken I've ever had in my life....but its FARRRR from the worst. 7.5 outta 10 which is GREAT for the value. Oh...and everything was hot and fresh and fully-cooked as well. Great job guys! Portion sizes were very big too. Would definitely order again!

• 12/23/25I bought the 5 piece Wings (5 pcs) Combo. It really is 50/50 with this place and depends whose working there. Sometimes they do super well and majority of the time there's little to no seasoning on the chicken even if you buy the extra. I wouldn't DoorDash here again unless you buy the extra 20oz seasoning and I really shouldn't have to if I asked for extra.. The fries portion is super small too. Detroit does it better than this.
