• 1/13/26We have been regular customer of charcoal from the very beginning. I've seen it grow over the couple of years. The menu is more consistent now. It's great to have an option for Indian cuisine in Huntington Beach.
I love chili paneer, Kadhai paneer and garlic, naan the most because of the consistency in taste & flavors. I wish dosa could be brought back to the menu, that was one big hit.
Also, the two veg biryani we have tried several times, lack consistency in flavors, unusually have more oil than required. It will be great if that could be fixed. Rest its a must try restaurant.

• 2/25/26I was really disappointed with this order, especially for the price. I spent over $50 and was still hungry afterward because I could barely eat the food.
The chicken biryani was very odd. The rice was mostly flavorless, and the chicken had a very soggy, unpleasant texture. It didn’t taste fresh at all. On top of that, the dish was extremely salty, to the point where it was hard to eat.
The chicken tikka masala was just okay, nothing special, but it didn’t come with rice (which I knew ahead of time). Unfortunately, the naan was also a big letdown — very soggy, like it had been sitting out for hours. I understand naan can soften during delivery, but I’ve ordered naan many times through DoorDash and it’s never been this bad.
Overall, the quality didn’t match the price at all. For what I paid, I expected much better flavor and freshness. I wouldn’t order again.

• 3/4/26There was zero spice or flavor to either dish. Every Indian place I have ever ordered from has rice that comes with the Chicken Tikka Masala but this one didn't. I was adding so much pepper flakes just to try and bring out any flavor at all. Mango lassi was sent with a lid with a huge opening.

• 10/11/25The Chicken Tikka Masala sauce was broken. the Pani Puri (8 pcs) didn't have the filling, just the shell and sauce. Paneer Tikka Kebab was not tasty.
