• 3/6/23Everything was fresh and delicious. I had the Smothered or Fried Pork Chop smothered with flavorful gravy with fresh collard greens and mash potatoes. Now I wasn't a big fan of the extra thick mash potatoes but that's just me. My wife had the Smothered Turkey Wing with rice & peas and mac. She smacked on her food the entire time. The cornbread had a hint of cinnamon in it and its was spongy. I give the cornbread a 9/10. My teenage daughters had the 6pc Chicken Tenders and lets just say they ate it all

• 4/9/22The chicken was undercooked (you could see the blood). The yams were good and the turkey was disgusting; not only was it over cooked (tough to chew) but the taste was awful. The cornbread also tasted funny. I would not eat here again.

• 2/21/22This is my 2nd time ordering from this restaurant.
Tonight I ordered 3 Lamb Chops, loaded mashed potatoes and garlic broccoli. As a substitute for the lack of broccoli, I received 2 sides: collard greens and Jamaican Cabbage.
One Lamb Chop was delicious but, the other two tasted rank, which I did not eat. The greens were extremely salty so I could not consume them. I can not explain the horrible taste of the cabbage while it was very salty as well (I love Jamaican Cabbage). This was a total waste of my money and time waiting for it to arrive. It is safe to say I will not patronize this business anymore.
On another note...Chef Omar your thoughtfulness of sending 2 sides does not go unnoticed. I appreciate the gesture.

• 1/12/22Chef Baker's Place is my go to spot! Everything that I've had has been delicious from the oxtails to the fried fish. The chefs and staff are always friendly and remember my name and favorite items. Definitely recommend!!

• 2/23/22*This was my 2nd time patronizing this restaurant.
*Ordered 3 Lamb chops, Mashed potatoes and Garlic Broccoli. This time...2 of the Lamb Chops tasted rank, which was trashed, however 1 was good, as well as the mashed potatoes.
* Wasn't made aware they were out of broccoli until my order was delivered.
*The chef substituted the Broccoli with Collard Greens and Jamaican Cabbage. Both were extremely salty, plus the cabbage had a funny taste and was cooked entirely too long...mushy. (I love Jamaican Cabbage)
*I'm unsure if I'll be ordering from this establishment again.
***OAN - Chef Omar I want to thank you for the gesture of the substitution. It was thoughtful.
