This year marks the 60th anniversary of The Chicken on the Way. At the time, the only chicken sold was by the half, with French fries and fritters as side items. Chicken on the Way was founded in 1957…
The staff there are excellent.
I can honestly say that I've never had a bad meal from.
The chicken is delicious.
And if you want to stuff your face with homemade fries, this is the place to go to.
I recommend adding the gravy.
But that's just my opinion.
You just have to try it especially if you're hungry.

Still the best fried chicken in town! My five piece meal came stuffed and bursting at the seams. Great to see a place still operating like they always have. Great value and portions. Iconic place.

the fish was so oily and tasted old. made me feel sick.the fried chicken was good .
the fries were ok and a bit soggy
the salads were good but small not enough for that size of a 12-Piece Family Meal
probably won't order again

Ordered a Hungry Man 5pc with Fries and a Bonus Meal 3pc with potato salad and only got fries. Loads of them. They were really good, but disappointed as wanted the potato salad. Also only received 2 out of the 3 corn fritters. Chicken was tasty.

not great tonight. small serving of fries that were not well cooked. chicken was also small pieces and quite dry.
