If youre on the big island for the first time, or the 20th time, chubby's is a must. Their loco moco in particular is killer. Dont sleep on those kalbi ribs tho.

Always order the loco moco from them ( traditional ). Once in a very rare while hamburger is slightly over cooked but 9.5 times out of 10 it's the best loco moco I ever had in Kona. Good size to

Garlic cheese fries is not even worth mentioning!!!! It was horrid. Fries were soggy & this cheese....gross!
The loco moco well it wasn't horrid but wasn't great either!!! Ordered over easy eggs and got the opposite! Hamburger was bland.
Bummers cause I haven't eaten here in a while & guess it'll be a long time if I go back!

The loko moco was pretty sub par. The burger patties were really good and nothing to say about the eggs besides add a little seasoning. My biggest complaint would be the gravy. The gravy tasted like cafeteria gravy. Had to question if I would have stomach problems afterwards. I would say L&L gravy is better. Overall I give it a 2/5
