A disaster from beginning to end. Have no idea what happened - this is our neighborhood place & we've been picking up orders here weekly *since the 80's*. Maybe they hate Door Dash orders - who knows?! We ordered a large stuffed pizza & a toasted Italian sub as we have hundreds of times before. We even ordered two hours early for a later scheduled delivery. When it shows up & we got it into our kitchen there was a small, watery vegetarian pizza and a black-burnt/toasted sub that was unedible. We had a livingroom filled w/people & the food was thrown directly in the trash. Thank the gods, Door Dash seemed to know in advance there was a problem & quickly credited back everything but the 20% we added for the delivery person's gratuity. AND THE THING THAT REALLY FROSTED ME?! I added explicit instructions on the form stating that IF substitutions had to be made, we wanted to receive a phone call to CHOOSE our substitution. But again: in over three decades we have never received this kind of treatment from Ciervo's. BUT with a house full of hungry people & no food to give them, please know that those many decades have been erased. This place will NEVER be recognized by us again. Too many other neighborhood businesses are appreciative of business. Clearly this one is NOT. Thanks Door Dash for making this sad experience a tiny bit better w/your rapid understanding & refund.
