The issue is the baked beans. The first time I had them, they were fantastic, clearly freshly made, the beans were large and meaty, and the barbecue sauce flavor was great. The last two times I've had it, it has been the equivalent of opening a can of baked beans and dumping a little barbecue sauce and meat in it. Absolutely not worth getting ever again. I can buy a can of beans much less expensively.
The meat is actually very good and I like the green beans with bacon, although not everyone does because they appear to be canned beans. Just very disappointed in the baked beans.

very small portions for the price, burnt ends were over cooked and there was only half dozen or so of them, the pulled pork was barely over a tablespoon full.

Always a great place for BBQ...I LOVE that it doesn't come sauced, just delicious Smoked Pork, Beef, Chicken, Turkey or Sausage. I usually get Pulled Pork, it's always perfect. Sides I have tried and would order again include, Green Beans with Bacon , Corn Pudding, homemade cold potato salad, and their fresh crunchy incredible Pint of Pickles (the only kind that don't upset my stomach). The staff is kind, welcoming, and they call your name loud enough that you can hear it...if they are not busy, sometimes they even carry it out to you,which is very kind. Their app offers 99cent pulled Pork sandwiches, or discounts on meal packages for a family spread.
I always go to the Deerfield location in person, but sometimes delivery comes from Park Ridge. I have not noticed a difference in quality of delivery vs. In person regarding quality of food. I haven't met Park Ridge Staff, but Deerfield has great people and friendly managers who i happen to have seen working the registers, cleaning the kitchen or delivering food on numerous occasions, and not just sitting in the back. I've taken friends and family, and everybody really likes it. Thanks City BBQ!

Ordered 2 meats 2 sides. I'ved cooked better barbecue chicken on a gas grill. Very small portion. Sausage was so-so a bit salty very little barbecue flavor. Barbecue beans however were excellent and corn pudding was good. Sides way better than the meat. Poor value

The BAKED POTATO looks like a large potato wedge cut in half. The Texas toast is not Texas toast. The taste of the food was average. Except the brisket, the brisket was good, 4 stars. Everything was warm not hot.
