• 12/23/24Tis the season for tamales and Cokeana's are the best! Fresh avocado and homemade salsa top them off. The rice is fluffy and beans are perfect. Notice how fresh and crisp the okra is-each piece is hand battered and made to order.

• 10/11/25Absolutely love this restaurant, everything I've had is delicious and the portions are very generous! Mac is creamy and cheesy, pulled jackfruit sandwich is wonderful, but my favorite in the world that I miss whenever it's not on the menu is the Eggplant Parma . I could (and have) ordered and eaten it for days in a row! Definitely treat yourself if you ever see it available!

• 7/8/23I just want to move in and eat here every day. This is the most delicious comfort food in all of Portland. The Vegan Lasagna is amazing and so much food! Fried Okra is amazing, Mashed Potatoes and Potato Salad and Greens and Green Beans all seasoned and perfect. The Vegan Cobbler is so good I could cry

• 10/28/25I am from Louisiana. This blew me away. If you want plant based food thats as good or better tasting than meat based soul food please order from here. The gumbo was as good as all of the meat gumbos ive had. The soul bowl is crazy good like i was in shock. I got it with grilled jackfruit, the flavor is just so beyond i cant stress it enough. As im eating it, Im actively thinking damn itll be over too soon or should i stop myself and save it so i have more for later lol. This is masterful culinary arts 1000%

• 10/17/25Hubby is Vegan, I'm a dirty carnivore. Both born/raised in the south. This was hands down the *BEST* Vegan food in the metro area. Worth crossing the water. Soul Bowl , Mashed Potatoes, Greens, Mac&cheese, and Vegan Gumbo were AMAZING, and I finally enjoyed fried okra for the first time ever!
Spice level=Taco Bell Hot Sauce to me. Death Challenge to Hubby.
Excellent portions. We both had leftovers that were consumed within hours of arriving home. Sweet, friendly family run business. (I see you, Girls!) We ordered Door Dash Pickup on the road and walked up as they were bagging it. Awesome family/booze/pet friendly/indoor outdoor surroundings (The Heist? How cool!) Woodstock, not Sandy. We'll be back. Soon. DO IT!!! I can't do anymore stars but it was 14/5 Stars.
