This was my first time eating here and The Shrimp & Andouille Cajun Pasta was extremely flavorful (in the best way) and probably one of the best dinners I've ever ordered. Definitely well worth the price. The onion straws were also really good. Very impressed with this restaurant and i'll be returning regularly!!

I really enjoyed every bite. The brownie sundae was cool. I've tried better but I still enjoyed it. Catfish was cooked amazing and parm sauce tasted great on top. Didn't get enough rice but overall beans and rice were flavorful and delicious. Mac n cheese was surprisingly good tasting. But wasn't the best I've had but still good. Cornbread always soft and sweet. I love cornbread.

Chicken & Sausage Gumbo was a small cup of all water with no meat and I paid for a bowl.The serving of cornbread was not worth a dollar. The side of rice is the same size as the ranch cup. I understand it was towards the end of the night, but if you cannot provide menu items, just say that. Worst order I've ever had from anywhere in Milwaukee.

The food was good, but for the price the portions was laughable. $28 for 1/2 filet of Blackened or Fried Catfish w/parm cream? I was expecting at minimum 2 half pieces of fish for that much. The sweet potato fries and collard greens were seasoned and delicious but the fish was slightly bland and definitely needed the Parmesan sauce for more flavor. Overall I would not order again.

the first time I tried this restaurant, I was displeased. the ribs were dry and overcooked. the crab dip was also subpar. I decided to try again though because my partner loved their oxtail stew. I'm so glad I did. this time I ordered the fried chicken plate with added cornbread. it was exactly how I'd imagine grandmas would cook, if I had a grandma. delicious food, lots of chicken (which was good considering the price). the mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious and the greens were soo good, and I'm not usually a big fan of greens. I don't know who their chef is but man they can cook some good southern food. my partner ordered the oxtail stew again and was super happy, again. cornbread was great, especially after warming it a bit. other than the cornbread, the food arrived piping hot. I'd recommend this place for sure (just maybe not the ribs 😬)
the beignets were just okay in my opinion. I thought it was a bit wild that they charge more for beignets than cafe du monde and they're not nearly as soft and delicious. the sauce with it was at least a nice touch.
