I absolutely LOVE Crooked Horns it is my families favorite. I would recommend calling to place the order instead of DoorDash though. I was on my way home with my kiddos being noisy in the car. Everything was still absolutely amazing as always, but Crooked Horns tried to call to confirm something and it was a bit confusing. When I called the restaurant I got it all sorted and they were trying to save me from paying fifmore fries than I needed which is so genuine to try to make me not overpay.

Kids 2 Mini Cheese Burgers were bigger than I expected, cooked perfectly to what I ordered (medium well), and were very tasty.
Potato Skins were good-sized, the skins were crispy on the outside, and well done.
All the food arrived fresh, warm, and decently packaged. Would order again.

Ordered the turkeyclub with fries and chicken quesadilla... delicious and warm upon receiving! Will DEFINITELY order again, so yummy! Also ordered the cream of potato and the chicken noodle soups... HIT THE SPOT! Incredible! All items were plentiful, didn't skimp on the ingredients or quality,that made the food so good and filling!

Food from this place is great. The Steak Sandwich was a solid, no frills piece of steak through and through. Did not need a fork or knife to get thriugh gristle or anything like I usually encounter at other restaurants! Their cheese curds were delicious, with some sort of homemade ranch sauce to dip them in. Originally, they gave me the wrong order, but the cooks were quick about getting the right meal made up and out to me

When I was a kid, my grandmother used to take us to a fancy French restaurant in L.A. on special occasions on a Friday night. The place was famous for its clam chowder and we'd have a bowl before having a skirt steak cooked medium (not medium rare!) with fries or mashed potato. Crooked Horns has somehow made a Skirt Steak that is more flavorful than the French place's, and if you can get their Soup Of The Day on a Friday, the clam chowder is extremely close; not quite the same but clearly reminiscent, and clearly homemade, and clearly the best and tastiest in the DeKalb/Sycamore metropolitan area. The Crooked Horns restaurant has captured lightning in a bottle. For me, this is comfort food, and it's just fantastic. The best. A+, 10/10, 5 stars.
