Saw this place was new and had to try! Got the Legume/purée vegetable and the Pate Kode and was blown away! Would give this place 10 stars if I could!! The flavors were incredible in the legume, the pikliz had the right amount of spice, and the salad russe was delicious. Large portions for a great price, order was correct, and it came quickly. So excited to have a great new restaurant in Roanoke!

The Tasso Koden (Turkey) was very flavorful, well cooked, and filling. Delicious and satisfying. I recommend it!

Extremely good! I'd never had this exact type of cuisine before & googled most the names which ended up being kinda different than what I thought I was getting but in a good exciting way! We went with a hodgepodge of Ke Bef / OxtailPate KodeAcraGriot/Fried Pork and Pikliz . Put it all together and what have you got? A colorful abundance of delightfully unique flavors, smells and textures. Very glad I ventured into trying this!

The Griot / Fried Pork and Tasso were good but lacked adequate seasoning. They were tender and juicy when biting into but looked burnt and tough. The Salad Russe / Pink Potato Salad had an off taste. The Pate Kode was very good. The Acra and the Marinad / Fritters tasted pretty much identical. The Pikliz was good. It was spicy. The Bannan Peze / Fried Plantain was very bland. They were thin battered strips with no taste, overly greasy, and hard. The Sospwa was bland and extremely watery. Everything was very greasy and most items lacked seasoning. I was very disappointed. I really wanted to love this olace. I added my own creole seasonings to try and improve the taste of most items.
