the Hoot Diffa at Dar Essalam is one of the best meals I've had this year, the salmon was tender and perfectly cooked, as was the shrimp. And you get a delicious salad, rice , and tons of wonderfully seasoned vegetables, too. So if you want delectable food, with a LOT of food, this is your ticket!

If Dar Essalam was in Portland, we'd have to wait hours for a table. Always exceptional food.
Bastilla is my go-to — such a special dish that it's hard to get something else. But today I'm glad I tried the Gyro, because I may have just had the best sandwich of my life: pillowy, freshly baked pita and savory meat, layered with fresh greens and strips of roasted red peppers. Yum! I also enjoyed the generous house salad on the side — greens with pomegranate vinaigrette, black olives, cranberries, feta and almonds.
Other dishes I like: hummus supreme, vegetarian couscous, pomegranate lemonade and baklava. Now I need to try more!

The meat was very dry. It continues to cook in the packaging and I don't think that's taken into account.
I've eaten a lot of food from this region. The flavors were not what I would expect, not exactly bland but not very good, either. The meats all tasted the same.
The rice was stuck in a ball, I don't know if that was intended, but I didn't enjoy it.
I'm afraid over all, it's thumbs down.

The Eggplant Sandwich is my absolute favorite. It is messy but it's so freaking good!! And the salad that comes with it is also amazing. I've had the Humus Supreme before, this time it tasted a bit different, less flavorful, not sure what was up with that because normally it rocks.
