Okay .. i have lived in the halethorpe / arbutus area for years. Im very familiar with the pub but never ate there, until now.  I got two burgers and fries to try, one was the murshoom Swiss , and the other was the retriever burger . First the fries were awesome , it's hard to find a good fry that is fresh cut and salted well.. and these were all of that. The mushroom swiss burger had me nervous for a second   because it was a hockey puck of a burger lol but it was really good, cooked a perfect medium rare , the mushrooms were juicy and the cheese was nice and tangy    , however whatever seasoning they    Are putting on the fries needs to  be put on the burgers. They could use a touch more seasoning.The retriever burger  was also cooked very well however I wasn't a fan of the crab dip on top. It wasn't a Maryland style crab dip for sure , by far the myshroom swiss was the  best.

I appreciate that they try to make everything homemade but the food just wasn't good. The cheesesteak and fries were very greasy, the fried pickles were fried in funnel cake batter and the chicken tenders were actually chicken cutlets and burnt. The onion rings were great though and the bar staff was attentive when picking up. Prices also vary from doordash pick up ordering vs calling in.
