• 7/2/25I got the steak Enchilada Plate (3) and it was the best that I've ever had! I ate about half of it for dinner & had enough left over for for a 2nd day. It felt like it was cooked with the experience & love of an Abulita. This is now my to go place whenever I want Mexican food.

• 8/9/23I am extremely picky when it comes to Mexican food and Don Mario's blows me away EVERY. TIME. From the table salsa (served warm!) and the most delicious and light crispy chips to all their entree dishes, you cant go wrong. Their tinga de pollo is masterfully flavored, the carnitas is tender and juicy, the Al pastor cooked to perfection (I love when it is a little crispy!)
They will be my go-to for Mexican food here in Austin forever! Or at least as long as I am physically able to eat there.

• 1/4/24For $22 the 8 pieces of beef Fajitas (1) seems a little over priced but the ground beef Ground Beef Quesadilla (PL) was at least decently filled.

• 10/28/24Terrible experience. Terrible food. Don't order the Quesabirrias Con Consome it's actually just barbocoa. Did not have consome either. I did complain and was told they use Barbocoa for their birra. The Al pastor Gorditas (PLT) was soggy and the al pastor also had barbocoa mixed in. Charro beans had a weird flavor we couldn't figure out. $70 to stay hungry because we couldn't eat anything we ordered
